Alcmene Group Interested in PCK Schwedt Ownership

Austrian based Alcmene Group may be interested in taking over part Rosneft owned PCK Schwedt refinery in Germany according to Handelsblatt business daily today.

  • “We are prepared to take over the PCK Schwedt refinery completely,” MD Raul Riefler was quoted as saying.
  • The refinery is owned by Shell, Russia’s Rosneft and Eni. Germany has been looking for alternative options to Rosneft’s ownership stake.
  • The refinery is dependent on Russian crude arriving through the Druzhba pipeline but plans are being investigated to bring in crude from the international market via Poland’s Gdansk port.
