Annual Gas Maintenance In The UK and Norway To Resume This Week

Annual maintenance at gas facilities in the UK and in Norway is scheduled to resume this week, likely to affect flows to Europe, remit data showed.

  • In Norway, annual maintenance at the Kollsnes gas processing plant will start on Tuesday, limiting available capacity by 10mcm/d, from 11mcm/d previously scheduled. The plant is expected to end maintenance on 21 August, GASSCO data showed. The Karsto processing plant will operate with reduced output until 3 August amid annual maintenance. Availability has been reduced by 11.6mcm/d since 27 July. Further maintenance is scheduled to take place later in August and September.
  • In the UK, the St Fergus gas terminal is scheduled to return on 15 August. The terminal has been partly offline since 23 May, limiting capacity by 26.8mcm/d, GB Remit data showed. The 10mcm/d Bacton SEAL terminal is scheduled to be offline on 3-7 August. Output at the Perenco Bacton terminal will be limited by 7.5mcm/d on 1-15 August amid planned maintenance. The 6.25mcm/d CYGNUS gas field will be offline on 1-13 August.
