As You Were

US TSYS

U.S. Tsys have held a tight range, with little to really force the issue for the space. T-Notes have stuck to a 0-03 range, last -0-01 at 139-19+, while yields sit little changed across the curve. Sino-U.S. tensions (despite some temporary judicial respite for TikTok), as well as Brexit risks and U.S. fiscal/political matters remain front and centre. Market and headline flow was limited overnight.

  • T-Notes finished just shy of best levels on Friday, with Tsys coiling within their respective recent ranges, even as equities pushed higher during the final session of the week. Contacts pointed to real money interest in 10-Year+ paper as a supportive factor for the space on Friday, in addition to the softer than expected durable goods reading.
  • Tuesday provides the first real flash point for participants this week, with the first debate between Presidential candidates Trump and Biden slated.
