STOCKS: Asia-Pacific stocks struggled after the language employed by the Fed in
the minutes of its Sep MonPol decision re: the potential for rates to move into
restrictive policy crimped risk appetite late Wednesday, spilling over into
Asia-Pacific trade.
- The Nikkei 225 last trades 0.5% lower, with the ASX 0.2% lower, while China
led the way as the CSI 300 shed 1.5%. Worries re: share pledging risks continue
to circle the Chinese market.
- The Hang Seng lost 0.2% as HK returned from holiday.
- U.S. index futures also continued their move lower.
