AUSSIE BONDS: AUCTION: The record size just newly issued by the AOFM brought in
a cover below average for the year at 3.68x from 4.46x but nonetheless demand
for Aussie debt is high in comparison to other government debt. Although the
countries sovereign credit rating of AAA is threatened Aussie bonds still offer
a safe bet with higher returns than the benchmark contract. 
- The debt sold today is likely to become part of the three-year futures basket
by the end of next year. The yield on Australian three-year bonds was at 2.135
percent, close to the highest level in three years. (BBG)
