AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD last trades flat at NZ$1.0571, as focus turns to the RBA
May MonPol meeting minutes & RBA Gov Lowe's speech.
- In New Zealand, domestic credit card spending data will be released in between
the RBA events, while the GDT auction is expected in the London afternoon.
- The rate climbed 35 pips yesterday, as it rallied above NZ$1.0600 early into
the Asia-Pac session on the back of Australian electoral results before paring
some of the initial gains.
- Bulls need to clear NZ$1.0600 before challenging NZ$1.0624, which represents
the May 13 high & 50% fibo retracement of the move from NZ$1.0725 to NZ$1.0522.
A topside breach here would open the 200-DMA at NZ$1.0641. Conversely, the
initial layer of support is located at the 50-DMA, which kicks in at NZ$1.0527.
