AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie Bonds have continued to underperform during Asia-Pacific
hours, coming under pressure over the last 90 minutes or so, with little in the
way of catalysts apparent, outside of some AUD outperformance against the NZD at
the time, owing to soft NZD data. The AU/U.S. 10-Year yield spread last trades
some 3.5bp higher on the day at -27.5bp as a result, with the domestic
3-/10-Year yield differential 1.5bp steeper at 58.5bp.
- 3-Month BBSW fixed some 0.25bp higher today, the first fix higher in around 2
weeks. The Bill strip last trades 2-4 ticks lower, in sympathy with Bonds,
operating around session lows.
- Immediate focus for the space is on today's BOJ MonPol decision.
