ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY trades at Y69.07, marginally shy of neutral levels. Monday's
failure to make a clean breach of Apr 30 high of Y70.17 entailed a pullback,
which took the rate to where it sits at present.
- A fall through May 7 low of Y69.63 would expose the 50-DMA, intersecting at
Y67.50. Further losses would draw attention to Apr 21 low of Y67.29. Conversely,
bulls need a firm break above Apr 30/May 11 highs of Y70.17/18 to reinstate the
uptrend. The next resistance level above comes in at Y72.18, the 100-DMA.
- The focus today falls on Australian data, including consumer inflation
expectation & the closely watched labour market report.
