Bank to start sale of corporate bonds in September

The Bank of England will start an active unwind of its near GBP20 billion corporate bonds held in the Asset Purchase Facility in September 2022, the Monetary Policy Committee announced Thursday.
- Briefed by BOE staff this meeting, the MPC said bonds with a maturity up to and including April 5 2024 will be allowed to mature, while the framework for sales of other holdings would be in a Market Notice published at midday May 5.
