US DATA REACT: Barclays economist Blerina Uruci noted that "producer prices fell
by 0.1% m/m in July, contrary to expectations of a modest increase
(Barclays/consensus: +0.1%). Excluding food, energy and trade, PPI inflation was
flat on the month. Looking at the details, prices of goods (-0.1%) and services
(-0.2%) declined on the month. Within the goods category, growth in food prices
was flat, while the weakness in energy prices diminished compared to previous
months. On an annual basis, producer price inflation rose by 1.9% (from 2.0% in
June) and PPI excluding food, energy and trade rose by 1.9% (previous: 2.0%)."
