GLOBAL MARKET/OPINION: ###Boesen-Zeitung is running an editorial on the old

topic of increasing the 2% inflation target, bringing up the topic ahead of the

Jackson Hole Summit starting tomorrow evening.

- POV. At the June FOMC press conference, Fed Chair Yellen appeared to allow a

crack in the door to this debate by remarking "We very much look forward to

seeing research by economists that will help inform our future decisions on

this"

- At 6pm MT tomorrow, a list of the research papers to be presented at Jackson

Hole is due to be released. Remember that he title of the Symposium is

"Fostering a Dynamic Global Economy" and a paper on higher inflation targets

would certainly come within the scope of the topic. 

- Look out for a paper that adopts a positive view of higher inflation targets.

If it's there, a natural yield curve reaction would be to steepen.
