BRICS ForMin Meeting concludes, with expansion top of the agenda

  • Eskom confirmed a new timetable for load-shedding this week, which sees power-cuts escalated from stage 2 to stage 4 later on Monday, then alternating between stage 1 during the day and stage 4 overnight out to June 7th.
  • The BRICS foreign ministers meeting concluded this weekend, at which ministers held discussions with counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Kazakhstan to discuss BRICS expansion and the possibility of a common currency.
  • PMI data crosses later today, with May figures seen slowing to 49.0 from 49.6 previously. Ramaphosa is set to be hosting the Portuguese President
