CABLE: Cable is unch. at $1.3024 ahead of Mr Carney's swansong as BoE Gov & a
meeting poised to be a close call. Mkt pricing is almost evenly split between a
cut and a hold, with the sell-side also divided in their exp. The only matter of
consensus seems to be that Haskel & Saunders will retain their dovish leanings.

- In the Brexit news, the European Parliament approved the Brexit deal, clearing
the final hurdle on the UK's path to leaving the bloc at the end of this week.
London and Brussels now face the challenge of hammering out the terms of their
future relationship by the year-end, when the agreed transition period expires.
Per the Telegraph, PM Johnson is set to tell the EU that he would rather accept
post-Brexit border checks than agree for the UK being a rule-taker.
- PM Johnson & Cll'r Javid will today discuss the fate of a controversial High
Speed Rail project, which according to some estimations may exceed GBP100bn.
- Bears look for a drop under $1.2980, the trendline support drawn off the Dec
23 low, before targeting the Jan 14 low of $1.2955. Bulls keep an eye on the
50-DMA at $1.3064, followed by the Jan 27 high of $1.3105.
