* Eur/Gbp: NY range Gbp0.8869-0.8923. Asia open Gbp0.8900, range

Gbp0.8884-0.8902.

* Cable was pressed to a low of $1.3225 Monday as markets reacted to prospective

Fed Chair Taylor's good Trump reception. 

* Taylor seen on the hawkish side and boosted the dollar across the board. Cable

settled back around $1.3250 into the close. 

* Sterling took the brunt of the dollar strength which in turn sent Eur/Gbp up

to Gbp0.8923, settled around Gbp0.8900.

* Cable drifted back to $1.3235 in early Asia then recovered to $1.3264 then

settled back on $1.3250 into Europe. 

* Eur/Gbp drifted off through the Asian session to Gbp0.8884, rested on low into

Europe. 

* Domestic focus on UK Inflation Report, CPI median forecast 3.0% vs last 2.9%.

Brexit headlines also in view.
