reversed tack and eased to a low of $1.2764 post London fix, settled around
$1.2780 into the close.
- UK PM May's meeting with EU's Juncker failed to deliver a final Brexit deal
agreement. Negotiators are said to be working through the night, with May
scheduled to return to Brussels on Saturday ahead of Sunday's EU summit.
However, Frau Merkel has threatened not to attend the Summit if no agreement on
the draft Brexit deal seemed likely. Germany seen placing pressure on UK, as
well as several EU members, to hold off tampering with the current proposed
deal.
- France and Spain continue to pose the immediate threat to matters on the EU
side, while the bigger question remains, will May be able to get the UK-EU
agreed deal through domestic parliament?
- Brexit matters will dominate GBP for the remainder of the week and into next.
- US Thanksgiving holiday Thursday subdued markets in Asia, likely to do same in
Europe.
