NATGAS: Chevron Sees Potential 50% Growth at Israeli Fields by 2030

Chevron is working on expansion projects at its Eastern Mediterranean natural gas fields that could help production rise nearly 50% by 2030, Bloomberg reported.

  • The first stage growth projects at Leviathan and nearby Tamar offshore Israel will come online by early 2026, CEO Mike Wirth said.
  • Chevron is working on front-end engineering and design for a separate project that “would be a significant growth in production for Leviathan” by the end of the decade,” he said.
  • “We’ll see production up by 25% over the next two years and something closer to 50% by 2030,” Wirth added.
