CHINA: China's total services trade volume in the January to August period rose
9.8% y/y to CNY3.05619 trillion, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement
Thursday. Exports of services totaled CNY926.69 billion, a 4.4% increase from a
year ago, and services imports increased 12.2% to CNY2.1295 trillion, resulting
in a trade deficit of CNY1.20281 trillion. The ministry noted the deficit
expanded by 19.1%, mainly in the travel and transportation sectors.
