UK
UK: Commons currently voting on an amendment to the business motion that would
allow votes to be held on amendments to the govt's bill that intends to bring an
election on 12 Dec. Result expected imminently.
- The passage of certain amendments (votes for 16-17 year olds etc.) could see
the gov't pull the bill, in spite of opposition parties seemingly proving
willing to support an election.
- Seemingly major pushback from some Labour MPs on voting for an early election.
- Betdata, which takes probabilities from Betfair, gives 82% probability of a
Dec election, up from 41.5% on 27 Oct but down from 96.6% at 1100GMT today.
