Constitutional Court To Start Reviewing Key Judiciary Overhaul Soon

POLAND
  • Poland's Constitutional Court has started proceedings on the contested judiciary reform bill, Chief Justice Julia Przylebska told the state broadcaster. She noted that the Court will schedule a meeting to review the bill soon and looks to give a verdict relatively soon. The government has called for a swift adoption of the bill, seeing it as a key condition for the disbursement of more than EUR35bn in EU recovery funds.
