Constitutional Tribunal Judges Clash Over Chief Justice's Term, Poland Mulls Windfall Tax

POLAND
  • Constitutional Tribunal spokesperson noted that its General Assembly of the Judges passed a resolution which states that there are no grounds for the body to select candidates to succeed Chief Justice Przylebska. The resolution came amid controversy over the expiry date of Przylebska's term, which saw six out of the Tribunal's fifteen judges sign a petition to choose a new Chief Justice.
