  • Czech natural gas consumption, adjusted for temperatures, increased by 1.5% on the year in 2024.
  • Natural gas consumption declined by 16.7% compared to the five-year average.
  • Energy consumption in the Czech Republic was partly lower in 2024 due to milder weather, limiting demand for heating, despite higher cooling demand in summer with above-average temperatures.
  • On the supply side, Czech renewable power generation increased by 22% on the year in 2024 and by almost 50% compared with the five-year average.
