DOLLAR-YEN: Early USD gains were quickly eroded overnight following BOJ Governor
Kuroda remarks that said the bank was not considering a comprehensive assessment
of its monetary policy at present. Usd/Jpy dipped back under Y107.00, slippage
extended to Y106.44 before fading. Bids are reported at Y106.10/00, a break here
opens a move toward the YTD low of Y105.55 (Feb16). Last Y106.51.
- On the US calendar today main highlights from New Home Sales at 1500GMT. New
home sales are expected to accelerate to a 647,000 annual rate in January
following a reversal in December.
- FED speak from James Bullard at 1300GMT who will present on the U.S. Economy
and Monetary Policy at the 34th Annual NABE Economic Policy Conference in
Washington, with audience Q&A.
- Option-expiries: Y105.00($1.23bn), Y106.00($963mn), Y107.00-05($2.37bn),
Y107.50($820mn), Y107.85($500mn), Y107.95-108.00($2.43bn), Y108.55($668mn),
Y109.00($1.06bn).
