ECB Terminal Hike Pricing Pulls Back On Dovish Headline

ECB terminal rate pricing briefly dropped as much as 17bp on a Bloomberg piece on the ECB eyeing smaller-than-50bp hikes past Feb.

  • Rates are now seen rising by a cumulative 131bp by the Jul meeting (ie 83bp total hikes beyond Feb's 48bp), down 11bp on the day. The session low was between 126-127bp.
  • Post-article trade also knocked about 10bp out of March hike pricing, though that's bouncing back as well.
