Economic Activity, Lima Unemployment Data Due

  • According to central bank chief economist Adrian Armas at a press conference on Friday following the BCRP's decision to hike by 50bps, Peru’s economic activity in June may have grown around 3.5%.
    • Data expected today shows a median surveyed estimate of 2.6%.
  • Data due at 1600BST/1100ET:
    • June Economic Activity YoY, est. 2.6%, prior 2.3%
    • July Lima Unemployment Rate, est. 7.4%, prior 6.8%
  • As a reminder on Friday, Finance Minister Kurt Burneo, speaking to reporters in Lima, said he will present his economic reactivation plan in the coming days.
