TURKEY: Erdogan Meets Zelenskiy, Press Conference Scheduled for 13:00GMT

  • President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to meet Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Ankara. “During the talks, all aspects of the Turkish-Ukrainian strategic partnership will be reviewed and steps for further strengthening the bilateral cooperation will be raised,” according to a statement by the Communications Directorate. The two presidents will also exchange views on recent developments in Ukraine and other regional and global issues, it added.
  • The meeting begun at 11:00GMT/14:00 local time with a joint press conference scheduled for 13:00GMT/16:00 local.
  • Turkey's house price index rose 32.0% y/y in January, according to data from the CBRT, marking the highest for the series since August. On a month-on-month basis, the index rose 4.7% - the largest increase since September 2023.
