EURO-DOLLAR
EURO-DOLLAR: EUR/USD last deals at $1.1377, after advancing 30 pips Thursday.
The pair touched a high of $1.1413 as USD struggled through early NY dealing,
before equities reversed the bulk of their sharp early losses.
- USD also took a modest hit from a WSJ report suggesting that Fed officials are
considering signalling a move towards a more data-dependent approach, with
participants eyeing a potential policy twist after December's likely hike.
- Initial resistance is located at Thursday's intraday highs/50-DMA at
$1.1413/16, followed by the Nov 22 high of $1.1434. Conversely, bears eye
yesterday's lows of $1.1321 and a fall through that level would open up the
200-WMA at $1.1313.
- EZ focus turns to final Q3 GDP reading and German industrial output due today.
Elsewhere, ECB's Coeure is due to speak.
