POWER: Europe Power Data Centre Demand to Rise by 937MW in 2025

Europe could see data centres that account for 937MW of power demand come online this year, compared with 655MW in 2024 according to a report from CBRE, cited by Reuters. 

  • 57% of the new data centre capacity will be added in the main hubs – Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dublin.
  • "The data centre construction boom will continue unabated. Available power and appropriate land, government incentives, and hyperscaler ambitions are key factors that are driving the rapid growth of markets such as Milan, as well as the continued expansion of leading markets like London and Frankfurt," Kevin Restivo, head of European data centre research at CBRE, said.
