US DATA: Factory new orders +1.4% in September vs +1.2% expected, 
with durables orders +2.0% from the advance est. at +2.2%, and 
nondurables orders +0.8% on +5.0% petroleum and coal products. Total 
orders ex. transport +0.7%, after +0.6% in August. Nondef cap gds orders 
+6.4%, and +1.7% ex. aircraft. Total shipments +0.8% in September, with 
nondefense capital goods shipments +2.5% and +0.9% ex. aircraft. Total 
factory inv +0.7%, so combined with advance estimates of +0.3% for 
wholesale inv and -1.0% for retail inv, business inv would be flat in 
the month based on an MNI calc, barring large revisions to the wholesale
