RUSSIA: Foreign Minister Holds News Conference; Prime Minister Visits Vietnam

- Just three days after the imposition of new US sanctions against Russia's oil industry, dozens of vessels are having problems unloading at ports in Asia and the Middle East, Kommersant report. The newspaper add that importers' fears and a decline in crude supplies from Russia could push prices up and increase the discount on Russian oil.
- Chinese businesses are increasingly registering companies in Russia, Vedomosti report. The number of average monthly registrations of such legal entities more than tripled in 2022-2024 compared to 2020-2021, SPARK-Interfax data showed. Interest in registering companies in Russia also grew from other "friendly" countries, with average monthly registrations up 120% by founders from Kyrgyzstan, 70% from Belarus and 50% from Turkey.
- Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin starts a 2-day visit to Vietnam while Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold a news conference. Meanwhile, the Bank of Russia publishes weekly changes in FX and gold reserves this afternoon.
