Gazprom Germania Able to Fulfil Gas Contracts

Gazprom Germania is able to fulfil its supply contracts by sourcing gas from alternative sources according to the Bundesnetzgentur today. Gazprom Germania was dropped by Gazprom in April and taken over by the German network regulator.

  • “we see that we can buy gas from other sources through Gazprom Germania. And that is why the contracts will continue to be fulfilled." Klaus Mueller, president of Bundesnetzgentur said.
  • "At the moment we are well-supplied with gas, but at exorbitantly high prices. Everybody needs to know that, whether in industry or in the private sector," Mueller said.
  • Bundesnetzgentur called on German citizens and businesses to reduce gas usage as much as possible to help fill up the countries gas storage ahead of next winter.
