Global Airline Passenger Capacity Rises 1.44% on Week: OAG

Global airline passenger capacity is set to rise to 116.30m seats in the seven days commencing from June 3, OAG said.

  • This is a rise of 1.44% on the previous week and the third consecutive weekly increase.
  • The rise continues to lag with last week’s forward schedule by 0.96%, which expected total capacity to hit 117.42m seats.
  • Domestic capacity is up 0.81% on the week at 67.61m seats, the third consecutive weekly rise.
  • Meanwhile, international capacity has risen by 2.32% to 48.69m seats. International capacity has risen every week since the seven-day period commencing March 11.
