EQUITIES: Global Equity markets/futures have bounced back from the lows seen in
the European session but remain lower, largely on China-Hong Kong concerns.
- Asian equity markets closed lower, with Japan's NIKKEI down 164.15 pts or
-0.8% at 20388.16 and the TOPIX down 13.41 pts or -0.9% at 1477.8. China's
SHANGHAI closed down 54.159 pts or -1.89% at 2813.765 and the HANG SENG ended
1349.89 pts lower or -5.56% at 22930.14.
- European equities are weaker, with the German Dax down 73.23 pts or -0.66% at
10992.45, FTSE 100 down 89.71 pts or -1.49% at 5925.49, CAC 40 down 27.29 pts or
-0.61% at 4417.43 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 14.76 pts or -0.51% at 2889.48.
- U.S. futures are pointing lower too, Dow Jones mini down 133 pts or -0.55% at
24246, S&P 500 mini down 15.25 pts or -0.52% at 2922, NASDAQ mini down 61.25 pts
or -0.65% at 9296.25.
