Guyana Crude Exports in Feb Lowest Since August

Guyana’s crude exports dropped to the lowest since August in February.

  • February exports from the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity FPSOs were 357kbpd down from 387kbpd in January according to Bloomberg tanker-tracking data.
  • The country is one of the fastest growing regions for oil production in the world and aims to produce 1.64mbpd by the end of the decade.
  • Liza Destiny with a capacity of 150k b/d started exports in January 2020 and Liza Unity with a capacity of 220k b/d of oil started exports in February 2022.
  • Three more projects are currently under development with 220kbpd due in late 2023, 250kbpd in 2025 and 250kbpd in 2026.
