Henry Hub Falls on Healthy Supply and Warmer Forecast for Dec

NATGAS

US Henry Hub is drifting lower on the back of warmer weather forecast at the start of December and with downside pressure from above normal storage levels and near record domestic production. Volumes are thin due to the US Thanksgiving holiday.

    • US Natgas DEC 23 down -2.1% at 2.84$/mmbtu (vs Nov22 close)
    • US Natgas MAY 24 down -1.3% at 2.77$/mmbtu
    • US Natgas NOV 24 down -0.7% at 3.5$/mmbtu
  • Domestic natural gas demand has risen further above normal today driven by current colder weather with today estimated at 90.6bcf/d according to Bloomberg. The NOAA forecast shows below normal until the end of the month moving back above normal across the US into December for the 8-14 day period.
  • Domestic natural gas production is today estimated relatively unchanged on the day at 105.7bcf/d according to Bloomberg and still up near record levels.
  • Feedgas flows to US LNG export terminals are today unchanged 14.8bcf/d according to Bloomberg.
  • Export flows to Mexico are today at 6.0bcf/d according to Bloomberg.
