HUNGARY
- HUF remains the best performer so far this year among the EM world despite recent consolidation; the forint is up 4.1% against the USD and 3.7% against the Euro.
- However, HUF still remains the most ‘undervalued’ currency against the USD according to our BEER model (nearly -15.2%).
- USDHUF ticks lower this morning after finding a local high at 313.20 on Friday; ST resistance to watch on the topside stands at 314, which corresponds to the 100DMA. On the downside, first support to watch stands at 310, followed by 305.20 (200DMA).
- EURHUF also ticks lower this morning after finding resistance slightly below its 200DMA (357.60); ST support to watch on the downside stands at 355. On the topside, resistance to watch above 357.60 stands at 360.
