Inflows Into A-Shares From Abroad

EQUITIES

Chinese stocks were the standout performer in the early part of the Asia-
Pac session, seemingly driven by foreign participation via the Hong Kong
connect schemes (current net flows point to the largest round of daily
northbound inflows since early July).

  • Elsewhere, Wall St. sold off relatively hard into the closing bell on
Tuesday, while Asia-Pac hours saw e-minis assess the latest round
of U.S. earnings reports and fiscal impasse on the hill ahead of
    Wednesday's FOMC decision.
  • Nikkei 225 -1.0%, Hang Seng +0.1%, CSI 300 +1.4%, ASX 200 unch.
  • S&P 500 futures -1, DJIA futures -53, NASDAQ 100 futures +10.
