Issues Resolved to Send Gas from France to Germany

Technical issues surrounding sending gas from France to Germany via a pipeline have been resolved according to GRTgaz, the gas network operator.

  • "The technical difficulties associated with the reversal of flows could indeed be resolved," a spokesperson told Reuters.
  • Germany is set to increase gas imports from France as it moves away from Russian flows.
  • GRTgaz had announced gas deliveries to Germany should start this week, using a link between the two countries which had previously flowed in the opposite direction carrying gas to France.
