US DATA: January factory orders +0.1%, below the +0.3% expected by both 
BBG and MNI, with durable goods orders revised down to +0.3% vs +0.4% 
prev, nondurable goods orders -0.2% on chemical products.

- January increase led by gains in machinery, electrical equipment, and 
transportation. 
- Excluding +1.2% transportation orders, factory orders would have been 
-0.2%. Durables ex. trans. -0.2% from -0.1% reading in the advanced 
estimate.
- Nondefense capital goods new orders +2.5%, but +0.8% ex aircraft.    
- Total factory shipments were -0.4% in January, with nondefense capital 
goods shipments -1.6%, but +0.8% ex aircraft.
- Factory inventories +0.5%. Advance data on retail and wholesale 
inventories were not released this month.
