JGBS: JGB futures briefly breached Friday's overnight session low, with
participants seemingly happy to sell the contract on the back of the BOJ's
adjustments to its September Rinban plan, made Friday.
- This took place in spite of weekend comments from BOJ Gov. Kuroda, who
stressed that the BOJ will not be hiking rates for a long period of time. Kuroda
offered little on MonPol in the initial comments of an address made on Monday.
- The belly of the curve has underperformed in cash trade, hindered by the BOJ's
Rinban adjustment, a soft liquidity enhancement auction for 5-15.5 Year paper
and ahead of 10-Year supply due later this week.
