JGBS: JGB futures finished the morning session off Friday's overnight session
lows but struggled to make any real in-roads into the losses suffered late last
week.
- The contract went into the lunch break 18 ticks bellow settlement, with bear
steepening evident in the cash space.
- The weekend saw BoJ Governor Kuroda reiterate that the Bank could loosen
policy further, if required.
- There has also been some focus on the U.S.-Japan trade talks, after U.S. Tsy
Sec Mnuchin stressed that any trade pact between the 2 nations would have to
address currency devaluation issues.
