JGBS: JGB's opened the afternoon session higher as the victory for Democrat Doug
Jones in the Alabama Senate race sparked some risk off trade.
- After hitting session highs of 151.00 JGB futures fell to opening levels of
150.93 after the release of the BoJ JGB purchase operations. Offer/Cover in the
1-3 Year sector rose to 3.41 (highest since 22 November) while spreads narrowed
sharply. 
- Offer/Cover in the 3-5 Year sector rose to 3.33 from 2.55.
