US DATA REACT: JPM economist Daniel Silver said the "recent trend for unit labor
costs looks soft" as "nonfarm productivity increased 0.9% saar in 2Q while unit
labor costs rose 0.6% saar."
- He adds that "today's report also contained annual revisions, with the most
meaningful revisions beginning in 2014 (incorporating updated figures associated
with the recent annual revision to the GDP data). These revisions were in line
with our expectations, on net, with the average annualized change in
productivity revised up by 0.1%-pt and the average annualized change in unit
labor costs revised down by 0.3%-pt."
