EURO SUMMARY: *Jul28 Euro-dollar open $1.1677, range $1.1671 to $1.1684

*Euro opened in Asia at $1.1677 toward the lower side of yesterday's $1.1650 to

$1.1777 range, where a correction to the short-term overbought indicators and

better than expected US durable goods data saw the Euro give back some of the

FOMC induced gains.

*Euro-yen supply into Today's Tokyo-fix pushed the Euro lower from $1.1692 to

$1.1671. Once the fix was concluded, the single currency regained its composure

and traded up to $1.1694

*For the balance of the session the euro consolidated, not moving too far from

the mid-$1.1680's

*Initial support lies at $1.1650 (Jul27 low), while hourly resistance is located

at $1.1706

*French and German CPI will be the early focus for European participants
