US TSYS: Limited news flow was apparent in Asia-Pac hours, with regional
reaction to the uncertainty re: timing & location of the signing of a phase 1
Sino-U.S. trade deal that became apparent during Wednesday's NY session noted.
Tsy yields across the curve sit unch.-1.2bp lower than their respective closing
levels, off of lows, T-Notes -0-01 tick, printing at 129-09+ last. Flow wise,
there was a & 250K DV01 TU/FV/TY fly blocked overnight. Sources pointed to a
buyer of the wings after 250K & 500K DV01 purchases in Asia hours last week.
- To recap, Wednesday's notable flow favoured the upside, with over 100K TYZ9
131.00 calls lifted (on screen & via block), and decent block buying interest in
TY, UXY, US & WN also seen in the NY morning. Elsewhere, a strong 10-Year
auction stopped through WI by ~1.0bp, with the cover ratio virtually steady, a
little above the recent average, as dealer participation moderated and indirect
takedown increased.
- Eurodollar futures are virtually unch. through the reds.
- 30-Year supply and an address from Fed's Kaplan headline Thursday's local
docket.
