BOND SUMMARY: Little of note seen so far in Asia, with headline flow
particularly subdued. The focus has been on question marks surrounding the
timing & place of a Trump-Xi summit, where the two leaders could sign a
phase-one bilateral trade pact. As a reminder, a RTRS piece suggesting that the
meeting could be delayed until Dec spurred fresh concerns yesterday.
- T-Notes last trade -0-01+ at 129-09. Cash Tsy yields sit 0.6-1.1bp lower
across the curve. Eurodollars up to 0.5 tick higher through the reds.
- Tokyo participants look happy to sell the overnight bounce, with futures
-17 vs. settlement, at 153.06 last. Cash JGB yields sit higher, the curve runs a
bit flatter.
- Aussie bond futures have inched higher; YM +3.0, XM +5.0. Aussie bond yields
trade 3.3-5.8bp lower across a flatter curve. Bills last seen 1-2 ticks higher
through the reds. The space has shrugged a wider than exp. trade surplus
released out of Australia.
