LNG: Freeport LNG Working to Restart After Fire Safety Trip

Freeport LNG is actively working to restart operations after the fire safety suppression system was activated during routine maintenance, a spokeswoman said cited by Bloomberg.

  • The facility was immediately shut down and evacuated due to safety protocols but there was no active fire. The system was tripped in the pretreatment facility’s control room on Aug 28 morning.
  • Earlier today Bloomberg reported a drop in power supply to the terminal.
  • Freeport feedgas flows are slightly lower on the day at 1.917bcf/d, according to Bloomberg.
  • Front month Henry Hub has rebounded back positive on the day to reverse earlier losses.
    • US Natgas SEP 24 up 1.1% at 1.92$/mmbtu
