Mines and Energy Minister Optimistic For Brazil Energy Conditions

  • (Bloomberg)Brazil's energy supply conditions are likely to reach around 42.6% in May next year even if water shortage persists, which should already ease some government's concerns, Mines and Energy Minister Bento Albuquerque said at a Senate's public hearing.
    • If conditions follow the historical average, the country's energy supply system could reach 51.1% in May, which would be much better.
    • There is no indication that Brazil could face any problem in terms of rationing or power outage.
