MNI BRIEF: China To Upgrade Rural Land Reform: 3rd Plenum
China will deepen reform on land system to narrow the urban-rural gap and advance new urbanization push, while improve the income distribution mechanism to promote well-being, the communique of the Third Plenum of the party’s 20th Central Committee issued Thursday through the Xinhua News Agency.
An equal exchange and bidirectional flow of factors between urban and rural areas will be pushed, enhance common prosperity, it said.(see:MNI: China's 3rd Plenum To Target Real Estate; Rural Reform Eyed) The authorities will highlight employment-first policies, strengthen the social security system, deepen healthcare system reforms, the communique pointed out, noting reform on education, the scientific and technological sectors will be pushed forward.
In addition, the plenum pledged to ensure the development of the non-public sector which will receive equal protection and participate fairly in market competition when the country is building a unified national market.
