More than 10 national recovery and resilience plans should be approved by the Commission over the next month, Commissioner Johannes Hahn said Thursday.
Speaking to media, Hahn said that this would allow the Commission to make advance payments under the NextGenerationEU (NGEU) programme to some EU member states by the end of July or early August. The Commission has stated its intention of starting borrowing for NGEU later this month.
Hahn said that the Commission would adopt a revised funding plan in September once it had a clearer idea of national reform plans and milestones.
