BEIJING (MNI)

The U.S. Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry will likely meet with Chinese counterpart Xie Zhenhua in Shanghai as soon as Wednesday, two sources have told MNI. China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will also likely attend the meeting, one of the sources added.

There are still hopes that China's President Xi Jinpeng and U.S. President Joe Biden could meet virtually during the U.S.-hosted World Earth Summit on April 22.
